Tax Director (Qatar)

A excellent opportunity has open up to move into the MENA region namely Doha as a Tax Director for a leading firm.

The role is an unique mix of tax policy and international taxation & therefore suits either a Tax Authority profile (from an evolved jurisdiction) or a individual with a strong application of International Tax legalisation (CIR/BEPS/Pillar 2/CBCR) and how these changes will impact Large Corporates/MNE's. In this case you will work across Qatar & wider MENA.

The team you will join straddles Tax Transformation/Operations & Strategy so interpreting of tax law is step 1 but sitting down with CFO/COO and C-suite and Tax Leadership where relevant and discussing operational application of the Law in reality is a key step 2.

The role is ideal for a person who likes complex Groups but has flair for Tax Strategy and how this strategy will impact and underpin organisational design, governance, process and subsequent evolution of tax technology use within Qatar and wider region.

Naturally a role in the Middle East in the current changing landscape will require strong alignment to the relevant Tax Authority locally. Here you will support them with effective implementation of tax policy and tax administration reforms, international tax reforms, digitalization of tax administration processes, broad reforms aimed at greater alignment of tax policy with fiscal, economic and social policy agendas.

Due to the size of the Qatar market, this role is a lovely mix of Tax Policy/International Tax Advisory & Operational Change & Tax Strategy. If looking to move to the Middle East, this role is so varied but fundamentally at the forefront of Tax change.
