Head of VAT Global Bank

Hi Network, pleased to be exclusively partnering with a global bank to appoint their Head of VAT, reporting into the Head of Tax.

As the strategic VAT lead, you will be accountable for all VAT affairs globally (EXCLU US) and tasked to develop the function's processes, people and raise the Indirect Tax profile across the business.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Lead and develop the Indirect Tax function and regional teams.
* Develop Indirect Tax strategy and raise profile across the business
* Partner effectively third party advisers and tax authorities
* Provide advice, training and ensure all VAT legislative developments are communicated to the business and ensure non risk exposure.
* Serve as a primary tax contact and advisor for business activities
* Communicate practices and procedures for proper control activities in accordance with the Company's internal controls policies
* Business partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
* Articulate impact of policy changes to management within business group or company wide
