Tax Director - Restructuring - Compliance

The landscape in the UK and EU market for restructuring services is changing and with that, the disruptor "advisory businesses" are marking their position to see who will become market leader moving forward outside the BIG 4 construct. Integral are delighted to partner with a brand who come armed with a market leading specialism & expertise in distressed restructuring and insolvency & are looking to expand their tax team to support their strategic growth plans.

Due to a market leading client base, a deep specialism and known quality and expertise in restructuring, this team in question is incredibly busy. With post Covid predictions and the current M&A market on a upward trajectory, the firm has created a new role as Tax Director with a particular focus on overseeing a team to lead and manage their tax compliance function, with a natural focus on insolvency tax cases.

You will join overseeing work with an array of clients across Corporate advisory, Creditor advisory and Insolvency and therefore a person use to complex compliance processes/ strong risk management stance along with strong working relationship with HMRC is ideal. You will be vital to set up and structure of this team through selecting what Tax Compliance software they use and putting appropriate frameworks in place!
This Director and his/her team will work alongside an incredibly strong Restructuring Tax team who will work hand in hand on some of the biggest known projects in the UK. As you will imagine, the team works is sector agnostic but naturally as you would expect, there is a trend towards projects across Retail, Leisure, Property, Oil & Gas post Covid.

It is advantageous if the candidate has deep experience in insolvency tax but a must is a understanding of the workings of the compliance process & systems, who is organised and meticulous, and can manage a team of junior staff.

You will work with a high performing team of ex BIG 4 professionals who now have the benefit of working in a non audit restrictive environment. As Director in this environment and business they offer exceptional basic & bonus earnings which will be based around technical delivery and competency and not Sales targets.
