If you are ready to make a strategic move out of a market leading M&A Tax Real Estate team (advisor side), and looking for to gain in-house experience, this may be an ideal role. The firm in question is a market leading Real Estate Investor, hence they are looking for a ACA/CTA or equivalent, with a proven track record of overseeing and assisting Tier 1 PE firms on pan European deals.
They expect and demand a level of commerciality and communication skill one would expect from a high achieving advisor.
Within the role, you will work with a team of ex BIG 4 M&A Tax Specialists and you will act as primary contact with the acquisition team in relation to all tax related issues. You will aid with tax modelling for new transactions and sign-off on tax assumptions whilst overseeing the tax advisors in relation to our acquisition structuring, ensuring that structures are set up in accordance with our transaction objectives, appropriately conceived and practical. Of course coordinating due diligence reports will be standard part of the role.
From a sell side point of view, you will discuss exit options with Asset Management and review exit tax assumptions and liaise with advisors on preparation of any relevant tax documentation ahead of sales process
As with any in-house role, you will have elements of compliance to oversee mainly around ensuring that all portfolio companies and SPVs maintain compliance with all relevant local taxes.
