This independent practice is very effectively managed, with a solid financial footing, robust systems and a confident outlook as we enter the early stages of release from lockdown.
The VAT practice continues to grow and the management board is keen to invest, fully supporting the tax partners' strategic decision to recruit a manager. The role will focus on providing an advisory service to a broad ranging client base, and helping to mentor and train the junior staff.
The range of advisory projects is diverse, reflecting the breadth of the industry sectors the firm services. Ideally your experience should include both UK and international VAT issues, transactions, partial exemptions, the VAT impacts on land and property, and negotiations with HMRC.
You should enjoy interacting with clients and getting involved in marketing initiatives eg seminars on 'hot topics', to assist in the further growth of the indirect tax practice.
You will play a key role in the development of the more junior members of staff, reviewing work, helping with training and the provision of career reviews etc.
Your own career will be closely supported. The partners in the tax group take an active interest in developing their team and ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. This particular role has a clear route through to senior manager for the right person.
