R&D Specialist
London £65,000 to £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus
Fledgling R&D practice in this very profitable tax team is looking for a dedicated specialist to take the reins and start to build a separate function. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced manager or new senior manager looking for a role with no ceiling, a plentiful source of untapped work and an incredibly supportive environment with a track record of nurturing and successfully developing other business lines from scratch both in tax and in the wider business.
The client base of this well managed and very successful accounting firm is diverse and includes technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and property, providing a solid platform from which to source work. The projects the partners have already been asked to advise on have included tech and pharma and there is a clear need which is proving difficult to satisfy given other demands on the partners' time. It is evident that a dedicated specialist would not only be able to source work immediately from within existing tax clients but also market the offering to the wider firm. The promotion of a separate R&D practice has the full backing not only of the tax partners but also the management board and the wider partnership.
For a manager or senior manager with broad R&D experience who enjoys working closely with clients and is looking for greater responsibility and the chance to build your own business case for potential partnership with a firm that has a realistic approach to start-up business metrics, this is about as good as it gets!
