You will be joining us at a time of unprecedented change as we embark on fulfilling a proposition towards full independent taxation where every person in Jersey is responsible for their own tax affairs regardless of marital status. This represents the biggest reform of the personal tax system since Income Tax was introduced in 1928.

As a senior specialist in our Tax Policy & Technical Unit you will be joining a talented and committed technical team. In this role you will support the Minister for Treasury and Resources, Council of Ministers, Treasurer of the Government of Jersey and the Comptroller of Revenue in making informed decisions about of taxation policy for the Government of Jersey. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives and legislative changes in relation to the Island’s tax policy and provide technical advice, research assistance and leadership support to the Deputy Comptroller of Revenue.

You will be a qualified tax specialist with a strong focus on supporting changes to tax policy, delivering complex technical work and law drafting. You will be accustomed to dealing with international tax affairs and will have deep knowledge of relevant revenue laws and income tax principles and jurisprudence from a common law jurisdiction..

A credible, confident individual you will be able to represent Revenue Jersey internally and externally, at a domestic and International level. Your communication skills will be exceptional, and you will have the resilience and ability to deliver competing priorities with pace and precision
