Senior Specialist Officer - International Tax & Competent Authority - Revenue Jersey

You will be joining us at a time of unprecedented change as we embark on fulfilling a proposition towards full independent taxation where every person in Jersey is responsible for their own tax affairs regardless of marital status. This represents the biggest reform of the personal tax system since Income Tax was introduced in 1928.

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior specialist role in international tax to join us and lead a small, talented and committed team. You will work closely with the Director of International Taxes to ensure that Jersey complies with a broad range of issues relating to our international agreements. You and your team will lead on responding to requests for exchange of information received from other jurisdictions, to advise on the impact of Jersey’s double taxation agreements and to resolve disputes brought under the Mutual Agreement Procedure in Jersey’s agreements.

An experienced international tax specialist you will have a broad understanding of cross-border taxes, double tax agreements and broader international tax principles. You will also have the ability to inspire and develop your team and take the lead in liaising effectively with tax authorities in other jurisdictions and in international standard setting and assessment bodies such as the OECD.

You will be a credible, confident individual able to represent Revenue Jersey internally and at an International level. Your communication skills will be exceptional, and you will have ability to deliver competing priorities with pace and precision.
