A leading and highly regarded Oxfordshire practice is actively seeking an experienced qualified ACA or ACCA Accounts Manager with strong practice experience, to join you their talented team and esteemed business. The organisation is heavily focussing on investing in innovation to drive improved and more efficient day-to-day operations, therefore, you will be expected to share this mindset alongside possessing a proven track record in optimising accounting systems.
Your new role
As the successful candidate you will be an innovation and commercial lead on process and system improvement to drive positive change throughout the business both internally and externally. Furthermore, you will build and manage lasting relationships with a ranging portfolio of clients, whilst also developing new and future business opportunities. Day-to-day aspects of the role will include managing and mentoring a team through delegating and overseeing workflows to ensure deadlines are met within budget constraints, whilst also leading your own outsourced client projects. Personal client responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts, alongside tax related tasks and ad hoc advice on controls improvement. Finally, you will collaborate and partner with other members of the management and executive to ensure consistent and efficient high-quality work is carried out.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to be an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong previous UK practice experience, whilst also managing a team for ideally more than 3 years. It is essential that you have an appetite and track record of successful systems and process implementation / improvement, with the ability to communicate effectively throughout the business at all levels. In addition, you will need to be results orientated, with a rigorous mindset to meet deadlines, whilst also possessing a commercial and analytical approach to problem solving. Due to the positive close-knit culture the business prides itself on, demonstrating you are a team player will be key to your success.
What you'll get in return
This a permanent and full-time opportunity offering upto £55,000 per annum (experience dependent), with additional benefits including above statutory pension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (buy and sell options) and flexible working options.
