The Group Tax Team of six, based in central London, is responsible for strategic tax decisions and international tax planning projects. As such there will be wide exposure to a variety both of UK and cross border tax issues.
As UK Senior Tax Manager, you will report directly to the UK Head of Tax and be responsible for two reports of your own. You will have principle responsibility for delivering UK corporate tax advice and overseeing compliance process. Furthermore, you will support the business with tax planning, transactions, group reorganisations, VAT queries, payroll taxes and the on-going development of transfer pricing policy.
Key responsibilities;
• Working directly with the UK Head of Tax to provide tax advice and support to the UK companies and subsidiaries
• Supporting the UK Head of Tax in managing the relationship with HMRC, and dealing with any tax enquiries that arise
• Supporting UK Head of Tax with tax planning initiatives and complex transactions
• Undertaking tax due diligence and structuring for UK acquisitions
• Researching and documenting tax technical points with regard to changes in UK tax law, in particular BEPS Actions
• Working closely with UK finance professionals on commercial issues
• Direct management of two members of the tax team, and assisting wider team with various tasks and ad hoc projects as needed
• Responsible for overseeing the UK Tax compliance process
• Assisting with CFC and Worldwide Debt Cap processes
• Dealing with HMRC queries in relation to employment tax issues on ad-hoc basis
• Provide ad-hoc advice to finance team on UK statutory tax reporting
• Provide advice on business transfer pricing agreements.
About you;
• ACA / CTA /ADIT qualified
• Engaging personality, able to explain technical matters in simple terms
• Big 4 trained ideally with commercial in-house track record
• Direct tax background with some exposure to other taxes
• Exposure to TP, indirect or employment taxes an advantage
• Experience of managing a team preferable
