You will likely be 1-2 years in to your personal tax career and have already achieved your ATT qualification, or at least be working towards it.
At this point you will want to ensure that you are positioning yourself to develop your career in the right environment, where you will be trained, developed and challenged to the next level and beyond. Where better to do that than in a highly supportive team full of people who are technically excellent and eager to impart their knowledge to their co-workers? This team’s client base is comprised of high and ultra-high net worth individuals and hugely successful owner managed businesses, both from old and new money. As such their tax affairs tend to be enormously interesting and highly complex.
As a semi-senior within the team, you will be allocated a client portfolio that you will work on, alongside your managers. Your role will include the preparation and submission of your clients’ tax returns, general liaison with your clients and HMRC on any matters arising from the compliance, and assisting with ad hoc project work. You will be encouraged to establish regular contact with your clients to ensure they feel they are receiving a high touch, quality service. You may also need to liaise with and loop in other departments within the firm to support your clients with all their technical needs.
It is expected that you will be a very organised team player with good attention to detail and a desire to deliver an excellent quality of service to your clients.
Full study support will be given for the CTA.
