Your new role
Working within a small Tax Team based in Edinburgh, as part of a large Tax Function spread internationally and a UK Finance Department of 40 individuals, you will be responsible for the organisation's corporate and indirect tax compliance and assist the Manager with advisory projects. You will prepare corporate tax computations and returns, complete UK and international indirect tax returns, reconcile tax payments and prepare monthly transfer pricing adjustments. You will gain exposure to employment tax when required, for example filing PAYE Settlement Agreements and Employer Related Securities reports. In relation to advisory, you will be involved in a variety of projects, for example, M&A and due diligence, R&D, trade and asset transfers, and (re-)structuring.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have strong experience of corporate tax compliance. Additional knowledge of VAT will be beneficial and you will ideally be ATT qualified or CTA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW part-qualified or qualified. You will have have excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work to strict deadlines. You will be an enthusiastic learner with a passion for continuing your career within tax.
