Head of Tax & Structuring, Pan European PE fund, London, to £150k + bonus and carry

A newly created Head of Tax and Structuring based in the London HQ for this highly regarded Pan European PE fund.

Description

Reporting directly to the Group CFO you will take full ownership for the firms Tax affairs and strategy. However, the CFO is open to the role being defined to suit the successful candidate where broader responsibilities could be included to offer the individual to grow professionally. For instance taking ownership of legal matters typically normally managed through a General Counsel. More specific responsibilities include:

* Oversight for all Funds tax work, from deal structuring through to tax support for exits. This is likely to include a lot of UK and European based transaction and structuring work.
* Involvement in a range of ad hoc advisory led work related to the firms investments in the UK and Europe.
* Oversight and management of the firms advisors who will largely completing all the necessary compliance.
* Significant opportunity to gain exposure to legal work and broader financial management.

Profile

You are likely to have either qualified through one of the large accounting firms as a Tax Advisor or indeed as a Tax Lawyer from a reputable firm. It is essential that you have a good amount of M&A experience either as an Advisor in a fee earning capacity or through having worked "in house" already.
