This is an exciting, brand new private client tax advisory opportunity which has come about through business expansion.
Working closely with a tax partner and a tax director in delivering high quality, complex tax advice on a broad range of taxes and projects, you will prepare scoping documents and fee quotes for tax consulting assignments, undertaking research and drafting tax advice, as well as managing work undertaken by junior team members.
This role can be tailored to accommodate an individual who either wants to additionally get involved in business development, or who just wants to focus on the quality client work.
Ideally the firm would like to recruit someone on a full time basis. However, a three day or four day working week arrangement will be taken under consideration for applicants who might prefer this part time option.
The role in brief:
Liaising with client and internal project stakeholders
Assisting other teams within the firm by dealing with ad hoc queries
Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients of the firm
Managing WIP, billing and debtors in respect of tax consulting assignments
Assisting with tax business development and marketing initiatives (optional)
About you:
A tax qualification such as the CTA or STEP, with personal tax experience (including PAYE & NIC) gained within a professional services practice such as a mid tier or larger independent accountancy firm.
Experience of providing advice to high net worth clients in areas including Capital Gains Tax (such as property and shares), Inheritance Tax and reviews and assisting with HMRC enquiries where required.
Strong client facing, relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate sometimes complex tax technical material effectively, including to non-technical individuals on occasions.
As a further guide, it is anticipated that suitable candidates will probably be experienced tax manager or senior manager equivalent level of seniority.
