Indeed, over the course of 2018, 20 individuals within the Scottish Tax Team were promoted. Given the level of investment and strong client demand, the firm would like to make an addition to their Edinburgh Tax Team; an individual who will work within the exciting and specialist remit of handling the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.

Your new role
As a key point of contact for the firm, you will build and maintain client relationships. You will manage the successful provision of complex transaction-based projects. The team covers both Corporate and Private Equity backed businesses of all sizes and industries - acquisitions of small family-owned companies to high-profile deals - hence your client-base will be diverse, unless you wish to specialise further. As a Manager you will also supervise and develop more junior staff members, inclusive of work delegation and reviewing of both advisory and more complex compliance. Further to this, you will liaise with your colleagues around the world to deliver exceptional services.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record within Tax in a practice environment, with experience in advising in respect to M&A, and hold a relevant qualification (ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA, CA). You will be customer focused with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Further to this, you will have strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. An enthusiastic and motivate team, you will match these characteristics and offer good leadership skills.
