Client Details

Private Client Services aims to be viewed as a leading provider of 'one-stop shop' private client services

The Private Client Tax department deals with tax planning and compliance for individuals and their related structures


Description

* Manage all aspects of tax compliance for a limited number of straightforward clients

* Calculate tax liabilities and ensure that tax payments are correct and made on time

* Maintain an up to date client status schedule

* Monitor WIP, prepare fee proposals for consideration by partners/managers, and chase debts

* Assist in dealing with HMRC correspondence with regards to client queries including obtaining relevant or requested information

* Liaise with senior team members to regularly communicate progress of work

* Start to develop an awareness of UK taxation and accounting matters, including accounting standards and double entry book-keeping

* Assist with general administrative duties

Other

* Be aware of and comply with the firm's policies at all times

* Record time accurately using the Practice Management System

* Any other duties appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training

* Be aware of the firm's risk management and practice assurance procedures and ensure compliance

* Ensure continuing professional development is up to date at all times


Profile

* Study an accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

* Basic technical and analytical skills

* Team worker / people management skills

* Good communication and presentation skills

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Proven planning and prioritising skills

* Able to meet deadlines, multi task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus

* Competent at using MS Office; Word and Excel
