EMEA VAT Planning Leader (France, Spain and Italy)

Our client is a large & successful US multinational. As a result of strong growth, it is looking to appoint an EMEA VAT Planning Senior Manager to manage its sizeable footprint in France, Spain and Italy. The role will report to the Head of VAT, and to provide indirect tax support & advice to a range of businesses in the group.

The role also manages complex cross border international VAT issues, looks at strategic and operational implementation work plans and assists with the implementation of European tax strategies and projects. It also manages European VAT audits. The focus is on France, Spain and Italy but also VAT issues across the rest of EMEA, the US and Asia.

Suitable candidates will have at least 12 years’ European, cross border VAT advisory experience in a large multinational or Big 4 firm. Specific VAT experience of two out of the three countries (France, Spain, Italy) is required. You will also need solid knowledge of large accounting systems.
