This leading employer based in Manchester is a household name and due to the promotion of the current incumbent we are looking to recruit to the role of VAT Assistant paying £25,000
Your new role
The role will be diverse and under the the management of a talented VAT Manager you will be involved in all aspects of VAT and your role will :
* Produce the required returns and declarations as required for registrations and company entities for both the UK and Europe
* Undertake the audit and review of the registrations managed by the finance team to spot issues and opportunities
* Provide assistance for the tax audit
* Use SAP and excel to analyse data
* Reconcile VAT returns to VAT GL accounts
* Submit VAT reports to authorities and make VAT payments
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have some knowledge and practical experience of producing VAT returns or possess a good grounding in finance and be willing to learn whilst undertaking the role. It it essential you can work to deadlines both efficiently and accurately.
