We are currently seeking to hire a Corporate Tax Advisory Senior for a permanent opportunity, based in Dublin.


The role is dynamic and varied. You will be involved in:

Structuring international IP transactions;
Financing and refinancing arrangements;
Domestic and international acquisitions, divestments and mergers;
Educating our clients on the various aspects of international tax reform, addressing and anticipating issues arising for our clients;
Working with clients and our KPMG US colleagues on designing and adapting structures in light of US tax reform;
Proactively engaging with Irish corporation tax reform and assisting our clients with a changing tax landscape.

You will play a key part in the advisory practice team. Below will be some of your core responsibilities:

Responsibility for managing a portfolio of both Irish and multinational clients;
Managing multidisciplinary projects involving VAT, Transfer Pricing, Audit, Legal and Transaction Services, to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed;
Coordinating and managing international projects involving KPMG offices internationally, to design, adapt and implement international structures;
Liaising with clients and advising on all tax issues;
Research and preparation of detailed technical tax papers to support tax advisory projects (reorganisations, take-overs, refinancing etc.);
Responsibility for coaching and mentoring trainees;
Liaising with Revenue on client’s behalf.

The group:

You will be joining our corporate tax advisory team; a tight, dynamic group with broad experience in domestic and international tax and at the forefront of the evolving tax landscape. Our group is focused on the healthcare, technology, FDI and real estate sectors.

There is a substantial international dimension to our work with our core clients including indigenous and foreign multinationals with extensive inbound and outbound cross border investment and commercial activity.

Given the pace and rate of corporate tax reform globally you will be joining a team at the cutting edge of thought leadership in the area. This offers you broad exposure to the key Irish and international tax issues facing large corporate clients.

We ideally need you to have the following:

Accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) and membership of the Irish Taxation Institute;
Strong tax technical knowledge; and
Minimum of 3.5 years’ experience in a professional tax environment.
