A consumer goods multinational is looking to hire an indirect taxes manager/senior manager into their Surrey offices. The indirect taxes manager/senior manager will take the lead on minimising the impact of indirect taxes across the UK and Ireland. Using their technical skills, the manager will be able to deliver advice on all of the indirect tax issues that will impact the business such as day to day transactions, Brexit, M&A and restructuring.

Responsibilities
* Providing technical advice in relation to indirect tax activities
* Engaging in compliance related activities
* Ensuring that HMRC business risk and SAO reviews are in line with best practice
* Team leadership
* Manage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and tax authorities
Skills and competencies
* Knowledge of all VAT issues
* Ability to contribute to multiple projects
* Knowledge of ERP systems /new technology and automation of tax processes
Qualifications and experience
* 8-10 years of VAT experience
* Appreciation/ elemental understanding of other indirect taxes (Customs duties)
* Proven track record of delivery (projects and systems based challenges and issues)
* Ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax literate team members
