Independent firm in Manchester looking to recruit strong Personal Tax Manager | £35,000-£45,000

Your new company
A chartered accountancy practice with over 100 years of history, 3 Directors and two offices. This firm is now looking to recruit a new Personal Tax Manager into their office in the centre of Manchester.

Your new role
As a Personal Tax Manager you will be responsible for preparation of personal tax returns for high net worth individuals, business owners and company directors in addition to the preparation of trust tax returns. You will report directly to the Directors, in particular the Tax Director, whom you will assist with complex personal tax advisory work and planning. Including IHT planning, exit and succession planning. For candidates with experience of doing so, you will oversee the tax dept in terms of workflow, supervision and management. As a member of staff within tax you will establish and maintain a strong relationship with your clients and be on hand to assist more junior members of staff with any ad-hoc queries that may arise.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this role you will have experience of managing a varied portfolio of Personal tax clients within practice and have extensive knowledge of income tax, IHT, CGT and trust tax legislation. You will be able to identify potential personal tax planning opportunities and ideally will have experience in some form of supervisory role. You will have strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary of between £35,000-£45,000 with 20 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday. This firm are also happy to offer flexible working and part time contracts for candidates looking for reduced hours. This firm is easily accessible with local train lines and are opposite a tram stop.
