A global FTSE-250 leisure business in Leeds is looking to appoint a Group Tax Manager due the promotion of their Head of Tax to Deputy CFO. This is an exceptionally rare opportunity in the region for someone making their first or second move in industry, or for someone looking to make the move in-house.
The business has close ties to leading brands within the UK and is launching a revolutionary platform within their sector. As an acquisitive group, you will be exposed to exciting M&A projects, in addition to an on-going transformation project to automate some of the less important processes within finance. You will be joining a small team of 4 who work collaboratively, so a being a team player is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of corporation tax compliance, reviewing how returns are currently dealt with in the finance team and deciding on the future framework
- Advise the business on the constantly shifting land of tax legislation in the sector, for a business that is constantly changing
- Work closely with globally based tax advisors to ensure a coherent tax policy across the group
You will hopefully be ACA/CTA/ACCA/ITP Qualified although this is not a prerequisite. Big 4 or Top tier training would be helpful and people moving from practice for the first time will be considered. Sector experience is not required.
