Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for Indirect Tax matters for business in the UK and Ireland. The role will have a significant advisory focus but will also be responsible for overseeing indirect tax processes carried out by the Global Business Service Centres.

Description
* Management of all VAT and indirect tax compliance processes carried out by Global team
* Review of VAT and indirect tax filings
* Manage VAT audits in front of the tax authority
* Internal VAT audit of UK/IE businesses
* Implementation and continuous improvement of VAT processes
* Active participation in the Group's projects and initiatives
* Advising the businesses on the indirect tax implications of projects and complex order routes
* Provide training to the businesses and finance community on VAT and indirect tax matters
* Keep up to date with changes to domestic and international VAT regulations and communicate these as appropriate
* Advising Country Management on any impact that Brexit might have on the UK/IE business.
* Maintaining a strong relationship with HMRC
* Support business transformation and implementation of new business models
Profile
* Professional Tax / Accounting Qualification - CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA
* 1-2 year post-qualified experience working within an "in house" indirect tax role or for a professional accountancy firm
* Expertise in UK/IE VAT matters
* Expertise in international VAT matters in EU and ideally Non-EU countries as well
* Good understanding of international supply chains, in particular in movement of goods
* Communication with both finance and non-finance teams is critical and must be able to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
* Flexible, self-confident individual who is able to work autonomously and deliver results
* A genuine interest in broadening tax expertise beyond indirect tax to provide wider advisory input to projects
* Practical experience of implementing business change to support an Indirect tax cost or process improvement
* Understanding of indirect tax issues for 'Digital' business models
* Ideally have previous experience of using SAP
Job Offer
£45,000 - £50,000 + excellent car allowance + 10% bonus
