Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Manager, Surrey

The Surrey office of this established, award winning accountancy firm is looking to recruit a Mixed Tax Manager or (junior) Senior Manager.

You will be joining a tax department of eight professionals, in a role that will see you managing a client portfolio that is made up of SMEs and wealthy individuals.

While you will primarily handle tax compliance matters, the firm also provide many of the clients with a considerable amount of tax planning assistance.

Therefore, you will get the chance to become involved in providing tax advice as well.

The role in brief:

Reporting to one of the firm’s Tax Partners, your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

Managing a portfolio of personal tax and corporate tax clients, including the preparation of annual compliance forms, advising on tax due and deadlines

Preparation of forms P11D, PAYE settlement agreements and dividend paperwork for corporate clients

Seeking out and advising on planning opportunities when applicable

Undertaking additional tax work as required and assisting with ad hoc team projects and assignments on occasions

Candidate profile:

ATT and/or CTA qualified, with experience of dealing with income tax, partnership tax, corporate tax and CGT matters

Strong communication and written skills; well presented, tactful and diplomatic

A confident team player with a professional outlook and excellent organisation skills

While not essential, it would nonetheless be advantageous if you also had experience in Inheritance Tax, Trust Tax, people management and report writing.
