Operational Tax Manager, Multinational Bank, London

I am working on a broad ops tax manager role for a large multinational bank based in their London City head offices. They are looking for someone to provide oversight on all custody tax processes including tax reporting and tax compliance processes across the business (both UK and overseas). There is also a lot of advisory involved as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, whilst reporting into the Head of Ops tax. The group tax function is a very commercially involved and driven team who all go above and beyond with their work, getting involved with ongoing projects all year round.

Responsibilities

* Providing oversight on all custody tax, withholding tax rules, reclaims processes across the group
* Manage withholding tax and OEICs tax compliance processes for territories and periods not covered by the outsourcing arrangements
* Working closely with project and advisory teams on developments affecting investment portfolios
* Other areas to get involved with FACTA, stocks/shares, pensions and savings processes on a large scale.

You will be ATT/CIOT or ACA/CTA qualified who has strong custody tax experience, ideally within a financial services. Specialist investment tax knowledge both UK and overseas as this position will involve a lot of cross over in multiple jurisdictions. Along with the experience, this role requires someone who has that confidence and gravitas who can look at the bigger picture. It's a make it your own role which will require you to be strong on the development and maintaining relationships with third party providers.
