Personal Tax Assistant Manager or Manager, Oxford

As a CTA qualified personal tax specialist, you will already have gained experience of managing a client portfolio.

You are probably an assistant manager and looking for a step up to manager grade, in an accountancy firm that is big enough to give you exposure to some good quality private client work, but small enough to allow you the opportunity to make an impression of your own.

The role in brief:

Reviewing and preparing personal tax returns

Preparing rental accounts and determining the revenue/capital expenses incurred

Preparing tax computations for partnerships and self-employed individuals, including capital allowance reviews

Some private client tax advisory work, including undertaking technical research and preparing letters/reports

Dealing with HMRC enquiries and related work on behalf of your clients

Reviewing WIP and raising fees as appropriate

Developing and training junior staff

About you:

Post-qualified CTA personal tax experience gained in a recognised accountancy firm

Experience of managing a client portfolio

Good communication, written and presentation skills

A team player who is also capable of working independently without the need for significant supervision
