Are you CTA qualified or part qualified, or capable of demonstrating VAT technical knowledge that qualifies you by experience?
Are you familiar with providing cross-border VAT advice to large corporate organisations, or would you like to?
Are you currently a VAT Assistant Manager or a VAT Manager who is looking for a new career challenge without sacrificing quality client work?
The Brighton office of this renowned practice is looking for an individual whose profile matches this description.
In part driven by the complexities that Brexit will create, this team is looking to recruit a talented VAT Senior Consultant or VAT Manager who can provide a range of blue chip clients with practical commercial advice.
This opportunity will particularly suit international candidates who want to work for a business that has close ties with the EU: Clients and colleagues are drawn from all over Europe and beyond; this is a serious VAT business, but work is conducted in a relaxed and informal environment. With plans to expand into the EU, they merge the integrity of the top professional services firms with the dynamism of an independent boutique.
The expertise of the teams’ VAT Consultants is at the heart of the offering: many have trained within a Big 4 firm before transitioning to a holistic role to help shape and support business growth.
They are an integral part of this operation’s collaborative approach to sales, service provision and internal development as well.
Your responsibilities will include:
Researching and providing cross-border VAT advice to a high quality international client base
Providing technical and risk management support to the in house VAT Compliance team
Working in collaboration with the established Business Development team to qualify and develop opportunities with new and existing clients
Monitoring and commenting on the changing international VAT landscape, including its potential impact on clients and company strategy
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have gained at least three years of relevant experience either in practice or in industry. You will have experience as a VAT Manager or as an experienced VAT Consultant and you will be familiar with at least one EU Member State; whilst cross border VAT experience would be highly advantageous, it’s not essential.
Fluency in another major European language would also be a welcome attribute but is not essential.
The benefits of this opportunity include a competitive basic salary and perks package, high quality VAT advisory work and the chance for further career development, in a friendly and supportive team dynamic that also allows you to enjoy a degree of work to lifestyle balance.
