Group Tax Manager (newly created – first ever tax position), London, to £80k + bonus

This role is exclusive to BPA Search, working for an AIM listed group that has seen strong financial and operational performance in 2016. As a result of this growth through acquisitions, they are continuing their investment of their central resource team.

This newly created ‘greenfield’ group tax manager role, reports into the FC and with a dotted line into the FD (both are based in London).

The position requires a combination of technical leadership & pragmatism, focusing on tax matters, but it will also touch upon wider finance issues too.

Corporation Tax is the biggest chunk of the role, In the first 12 months, the expectation is this hire will embed into the business and raise profile as being the tax ‘go to’ person, pick up the tax return process and get on top of tax reporting, identify an areas of risk and map out key projects for year 2. This may involve, supporting on treasury issues, M&A tax support, PAYE/share schemes, company secretarial etc. You will have support from external advisors.

The environment is very commercial, entrepreneurial and still, to some extent, has retained it’s ‘start up culture’.
