Providing VAT advice and VAT compliance to a broad range of corporate clients, spanning a number of different industry sectors in the Thames Valley region (M40 Corridor/M25) and some time in London when required, this is a brand new and exciting opportunity that may best suit an experienced VAT Senior, or more likely, a VAT Assistant Manager.
A confident client facer with good VAT technical knowledge, you will be working closely with the VAT Manager and the VAT Partner on occasions too, handling the VAT work they feed down to you.
The team is also witnessing increasing amounts of Customs and international trade work. Therefore, this role is anticipated to involve a mixture of VAT and Customs. Applicants will need to be willing to get involved in both aspects of this client work (although prior Customs experience, with sufficient individual appetite to learn, is not considered essential).
It is anticipated that suitable candidates will currently be working in the VAT or Customs department of a Top 10/20/50 accountancy firm, but perhaps interested in taking on a more autonomous role without losing the quality of VAT client work.
