With a constantly evolving tax system in the United Kingdom, effectively managing tax affairs is an increasingly challenging but essential part of business or personal financial planning.
In this fast-paced tax environment we help businesses save you money and time, and reduce risk exposure. BDO is renowned for our expertise and in-depth understanding of the issues – we are past winners of the LexisNexis Taxation Award for Best Tax Team in a Large Firm, Best High Net Worth Team, and our Transfer Pricing Team won the Accountancy Age Award for Tax Team of the Year.
For businesses we offer compliance and advisory services. Our strategic tax planning expertise includes corporate tax, structuring of acquisitions and disposals, human capital, stamp taxes, VAT and capital gains tax to name but a few.
To help support the continued growth of the tax function, BDO are looking to recruit top talent across multiple levels from Assistant Manager to Director.
Responsibilities
You will have your own portfolio of clients and in addition may work with other parts of the firm, such as corporate finance or forensics, to support one-off transactions or projects.
On your portfolio clients, your main focus will be to provide tax advice to support their UK and international operations and activities. You are likely to be a main point of contact or support with the client’s finance director or head of tax, so should develop good professional relationships and introduce or supervise other BDO services as appropriate. For each client or project, you will be responsible for supervising more junior staff reporting to you. In turn, you will be reporting to a partner or senior director in CIT and need to keep other parts of the firm and/or overseas offices informed.
