Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Cohesive Corporate Tax team enjoying quality work and significant growth would like to welcome an additional team member to the fold.

As an Assistant Manager in the team, you will be given as much responsibility as you feel comfortable with and are able to deal with. When you join, they will want you to get to grips with a chunk of the compliance portfolio initially and demonstrate your technical expertise on this and any advisory aspects that may develop on that compliance portfolio. As you build trust that you have that in hand, you will start to work closely with the Senior Managers and Partners on wider planning and advisory work. The speed at which that happens is entirely dependent on how fast you can hit the ground running and engender confidence in the senior management.

This team will suit those who enjoy working with clients from a broad mix of industries, to include actually a bit of everything, from technology and manufacturing companies through to property, care homes and recruiters. The size of client varies dramatically too from SMEs to extremely large listed clients and everything in between.

The tax advisory work is equally broad and diverse and includes matters within capital markets, share schemes, EIS, new R&D, restructuring, cross border, exit strategies, due diligence and LLP work.

You will be expected to review and manage the work of more junior team members and help them develop their careers also. If you are so inclined, there may also be the opportunity to manage the training for the tax students across the tax department.

The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified with at least 3 years’ corporate tax experience and a “roll your sleeves up” attitude. You will be ambitious, personable, client service focussed and have excellent attention to detail.
