Based in London, this hugely recognisable company is one of Europe's largest insurance firms. They have a current need for a Transfer Pricing & Risk Manager, to come in on a 12 month FTC, to be based in London.

Combining compliance, advisory and planning the successful applicant will be responsible for;

* Provide transfer pricing advice in relation to all cross-border dealings including branch profit attribution, reinsurance, financing and management fees;
* Work closely with and provide guidance to the business (including Group Tax in the US), to assist it in devising appropriate transfer pricing policies which are adequately documented and properly implemented;
* Ensure that the transfer pricing policies are implemented and operating effectively for all entities by recommending best practices and procedures and providing ongoing training and support to business partners as required;
* Develop and maintain documentation of transfer pricing processes;
* Manage all aspects of transfer pricing projects including planning of structure, fact gathering, functional and economic analyses and implementation in collaboration with other tax team members and internal stakeholders;
* Preparation and/or management of transfer pricing documentation and bench marking studies, identifying and implementing process improvements;
* Provide strategic and technical input into transfer pricing audits conducted by tax authorities;
* Manage other tax authority interactions, such as Advance Pricing Agreement applications etc.;
* Be aware of the direct and indirect tax implications of operating in an increasingly diverse and challenging commercial, regulatory and tax environment and take appropriate action to mitigate the transfer pricing risk;
* Manage aspects of BEPS such as Country by Country Reporting;
* Identify and quantify areas of potential transfer pricing exposure, ensure that adequate reserves are made for statutory reporting purposes and take action to address the risks identified on a timely basis;
* As tax authority focus and European legislation changes, identify and collate European tax risks;
* Manage European compliance and tax audits. Liaise with Liberty stake holders, European advisers and tax authorities to successfully conclude tax authority enquiries;

Skills and Experience

* ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent.
* Strong technical skills, with a good level of demonstrable transfer pricing experience or a combination of international tax and transfer pricing, where the focus has been specifically on transfer pricing;
* Proven exposure to the Big 4 (or similar), and will have had extensive experience in preparing transfer pricing reports including performing analysis using all specified transfer pricing methods. Financial Services experience would be advantageous;
* Relevant transfer pricing advisory experience will include reinsurance transactions, inter company financing, branch profit attribution, and management services and transfer pricing process implementation;
* A firm grounding in the UK, US, or other EU country tax regime;
* An understanding accounting standards (including new UK GAAP and US GAAP);
* Practical knowledge and extensive prior application of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines is required. Experience with EU transfer pricing regimes would be advantageous;
