In House UK Tax Consultant, Peterborough

The EAME Tax division of this quoted company in Peterborough is seeking the services of a talented UK Tax Consultant.

Your role will be to provide support to the UK businesses, minimising the tax liability of the enterprise. This will include providing corporate tax advice, conducting tax research, preparing Transfer Pricing documentation and issuing TP advice to business leaders and communicating developments to stakeholders.

You will provide tax support on M&A and major projects. You will be a capable manager and effective at handling a wide range of relationships, including the input of external tax advisors, while considering the impact of issues across multiple taxes.

Furthermore, you will assess interactions with other jurisdictions, reviewing the work of other colleagues within the tax department.

You will also work with outside legal counsel and consultants to create, manage, and implement complex tax strategies. As the UK Tax Consultant in this outfit, you can look forward to being involved in planning, reviewing, and evaluating tax strategies to arrange business operations with the minimum of tax exposure.

Your duties will also extend to providing advice to business and service units concerning the tax consequences of possible changes in business practices or accounting methods.

It is anticipated that suitable candidates will be ACA and/or CTA qualified, with prior and relevant experience in UK Tax (including Transfer Pricing) that has been gained in a professional services firm, or in house, for a large organisation with exposure to significant international transactions.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong analytical mind, with a commitment to process improvement and have a broad understanding of accounting, tax and business processes and systems.

You will have confident leadership skills, sound judgement and the ability to operate with tact and tenacity when required.

Ideally you will have more than one European language too.
