International Tax Advisory Manager, Crawley

Exclusively assigned to Nebula Partners, this international business has operations in over 50 countries and employs over twenty five thousand people around the world. As UK & International Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Tax and be part of a medium sized tax team. Your principal focus will be on international tax matters, leading on a wide variety of projects and working closely with peers in the UK and overseas. Further responsibilities will include Group year end reporting, Country by Country Reporting and tax treasury.

To succeed in this role, you will be a UK qualified tax professional with corporate tax training experience gained at a Big 4 or top 10 professional services firm. You will be able to speak and write in plain language with non tax stakeholders on complex matters and will ideally have some commercial experience in-house. Key responsibilities:

•Managing the calculation and invoicing process for the group’s annual global recharges
•Review of overseas tax numbers as part of the year end reporting process
•Providing regular support to the Mergers and Acquisitions team on overseas transactions including due diligence review and optimal acquisition structuring
•Helping to ensure Group structure is tax efficient and working on reorganisations
•Managing the flow of dividends from overseas subsidiaries
•Work with local management on overseas tax audits and assessments to mitigate additional taxes, interest and penalties
•Managing the Country by Country Reporting requirements for the global group for submission to HMRC
•Managing the compliance with BEPS Action 13 on transfer pricing documentation. Updating the master file and local files for the group
•Ensure the group transfer pricing documentation is maintained and updated as appropriate
•Working with the group innovation and technology functions and external advisers to prepare the annual Research and Development tax credit claim
•Liaising with the group treasury department in relation to inter-group loans to ensure that the group’s internal borrowings are optimised
•Preparing credit rating assessments and benchmarking suitable interest rates for intercompany loans with overseas companies
•Reviewing and managing the potential tax exposures arising from the group’s foreign exchange positions using a combination of methodologies.


About you:

•ACA or CTA qualified
•International tax advisory experience, including M&A
•UK trained, preferably Big 4 or top 10
•In-house experience or client secondment
•Direct tax background with some TP and indirect exposure
•Tax accounting skills, with strong Excel preferred
•Proven project and time management skills
•Need ability to interact and communicate in plain language with a multitude of departments (Finance, M&A, HR, Legal, Operations and Treasury).
