Customs & Excise Tax Manager, Bochum or Hamburg

*Role located in either Bochum or Hamburg*

Our client is one of the largest and most successful European multinational companies, with a truly global footprint.

This is an opportunity to join the European tax department and provide customs & excise tax advice to a range of businesses in Germany and across Europe. Applications are welcome from customs & excise tax professionals, from anywhere in Europe who are willing to relocate to Germany.

The role will manage the external Customs import, export, preferential trade and excise duty audits and participate in cross-functional projects with customs & excise related impacts.

The team is very flat and there is a lot of potential to grow in this position both technically or into other parts of the business either in Germany or other locations around the world.

The role is weighted towards excise tax so you will need a strong grounding in it. The level of the role is equivalent to that of a Senior Manager in a Big 4 firm so ideally, it would suit someone with around 7 – 10 years of customs and excise tax experience. Fluency in English is essential, German language is advantageous.
