In this role, the Tax Associate will be responsible for comprehensive fiduciary tax assignments that will consist of all aspects involved with the preparation and filing of Federal and State tax returns and estimated payments and projections for non-grantor trusts, grantor trusts, charitable remainder trusts and private foundations. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Associate will be responsible for:
Working closely with senior members of the Fiduciary Tax group, Client Account Managers, Outside Advisors, and clients
Researching various Federal and State tax issues by utilizing internet research tools
Corresponding with various tax authorities
Analyzing and interpreting trust instruments and other pertinent documents, including GST analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS
3+ years of Fiduciary Tax experience required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Working knowledge of ProSystem FX and OneSource Tax software
Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Desired Skills
Experience with Hedge fund K-1's, ESBT's and state nexus issues
