Tax Specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading Top 30 tax department who due to internal growth are seeking a private client tax senior manager to oversee a varied portfolio of private clients.

This is a superb opportunity for someone wishing to progress in their career, as part of a leading tax team. You will have responsibility for a varied portfolio of private clients (both UK and Offshore), acting as their first point of contact and managing the delivery of their tax advice and planning services and other specialist assignments to scope and budget.

Work is varied and will include planning and advisory work around Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates as well as Overseas Taxation and also tax compliance. This is a key position within the office and Firm's tax team and exposure to the wider tax practice across the firm is envisaged for a suitable specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of private client tax services below the Tax Director and Tax Partners within the Office.
Develop strong working relationships with allocated clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings where necessary.
Undertake specialist assignments, coordinating all relevant input to meet client needs, compliance standards and budget.
Prepare tax returns, computations and support the Office by highlighting any possible issues and producing appropriate information.
Resolve tax issues and produce complete tax files.
Undertake reviews of returns and correspondence, proactively supporting the personal tax team.
Provide feedback for team members, following assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work.
Take ownership of specialist assignments both for the Office and for referred matters from around the Firm.
