Our Large Corporate and International Tax team’s approach to business is to take the time to understand our clients’ overseas ambitions, help them manage their tax risks, and guide them through the many complex international tax rules. We give clarity over establishing businesses in a new country, fund operations, complying with local laws and repatriating profits. Together with other member firms in the Grant Thornton network, we bring answers and solutions to these issues, and help our clients to understand the interaction with UK rules.

Main responsibilities:

Advising UK and international groups on a range of cross border tax issues, group structuring, tax efficient financing, inbound and outbound investment, etc.
Recommending strategies for managing clients’ effective tax rate using efficient intellectual property, financing and other strategies
Overseeing cross-border teams with regards to international advisory projects. Acting as the point of contact for specialists, overseas member firms and external advisers to deliver successful projects and expertise to those clients.
Assisting on tax aspects of audits, in particular where those audits involve international/ restructuring issues.
Coaching and developing junior members of staff.

Education, experience and qualifications:

you'll have gained experience working within a professional services environment
you’ll possess working knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and ideally have UK inbound/ outbound tax experience
you’ll have achieved your ACA/CTA qualification
you’ll have reviewed work and supervised staff in a tax environment
