As a Senior Manager specialising in employment taxes you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Partner and Director team and will play a key role in leading our growth strategy. This opportunity offers a range of high quality client facing advisory work as well as business development activity.
Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
You will be advising clients on all areas of employment tax including income tax, PAYE, National Insurance Contributions, payroll and benefits, employment tax issues relating to transactions (and due diligence) and employment taxes compliance.
You will support our Partners and Directors through proactively targeting and developing new clients as well as leading and managing client engagements.
You will build on client relationships acting as the main point of contact to enable client issues to be identified and appropriate solutions to be found. You will lead on projects and take responsibility for billing and recovery.
You’ll lead relevant negotiations/interactions on behalf of clients with relevant external bodies such as HMRC.
You will mentor and coach more junior members of the team. You will develop and maintain your internal and external profiles and networks across the regional Employer Solutions practice.
Who we're looking for:
You will be expected to have:
Appropriate employment taxes experience either in the professional services environment or in industry
Expertise in the relevant tax and social security legislation
Experience of advising on corporate transactions (MBOs, MBIs and flotations) including structuring and due diligence work would be advantageous
An ability to arrive at commercial solutions for our clients
An excellent record of client service and an ability to manage your time efficiently working to sometimes tight deadlines, experience of taking responsibility for billing and fee management
A proactive approach to the management of client projects and to business development as well as the management and development of more junior members of your team
A desire to work as part of a team working collaboratively with your colleagues
Education, experience and qualifications:
You should be ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent or have the relevant professional experience.
