Head of Tax (Part-time), to £95k pro rata plus 15-25% bonus

A growing brokerage group with operations spanning the globe are looking to appoint their first Head of Tax. This is a part-time role with a wide remit, effectively bringing tax in house for the first time. You will report directly into the CFO, have important input on the direction the finance team take and have the opportunity to build a team and function. With higher than 25% growth, this is an exceptionally rare part-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Ownership of corporate tax compliance, reviewing outsourced computations and ensuring time submission
- Ownership of VAT compliance, ensuring outsourced returns are summited
- Operational tax research including impact of FATCA
- Providing tax advice and strategy to the group, communicating tax matters to personnel with little previous tax experience
- Take an active role in finance and group projects, offering insight from a tax perspective

Requirements:

- ACA/CTA qualified, financial services experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- Experience of both VAT and Corporate tax, experience with operational taxes (specifically FATCA) would be very beneficial
- The ability to work autonomously and quickly establish relationships across the group
- Comfortable communicating tax matters to non-tax personnel
