An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Tax Specialist to join a well-known multinational organisation. Offering a broad mix of corporation tax, VAT, tax accounting, and business partnering responsibilities, this role is ideal for a tax professional looking to accelerate their in-house career within a supportive and internationally focused environment.

The Company

Our client is a globally recognised international organisation with a strong presence across Europe and a reputation for innovation, operational excellence, and long-term investment in its people. Due to continued growth and increasing tax requirements across the business, they are looking to appoint a Group Tax Specialist to join their established European tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional seeking broad exposure across UK and European taxation within a highly commercial and collaborative environment.

The Role

Reporting to the European Tax Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing UK and European tax compliance activities across the group. The position offers a unique mix of corporation tax, VAT, tax accounting, business partnering, and project-based advisory work, providing excellent exposure to both tax and wider commercial operations.

You will work closely with finance, management, and commercial teams across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring tax compliance requirements are met while supporting business initiatives and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage UK corporation tax and VAT compliance, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
* Support tax accounting, year-end reporting, and external audit processes.
* Coordinate UK tax group obligations, including SAO, Group Relief, and other group-wide reporting requirements.
* Partner with finance and commercial teams on tax matters, business changes, and ad hoc advisory projects.
* Support HMRC enquiries, risk reviews, and tax audits.
* Coordinate European tax compliance activities and oversee VAT obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
* Monitor legislative changes and communicate relevant tax developments to key stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is likely to have:

* 2-3 years' experience in UK tax, gained either in-house or within professional practice.
* Exposure to corporation tax compliance and tax accounting.
* Experience with VAT compliance.
* Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
* Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
* ATT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified.
* Experience with AlphaTax, OneSource or SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Apply?

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a globally established business in a broad and commercially focused in-house tax role. You'll gain exposure to both UK and European tax matters, working across corporation tax, VAT, tax accounting, compliance, and business partnering projects. The position offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, develop your technical expertise within a supportive team, and build a long-term career in a dynamic international environment. With a hybrid working model, excellent benefits package, and genuine opportunities for professional development, this role is ideal for a tax professional looking to take the next step in their career.
