US Tax Senior / Senior Tax Preparer
100% Remote | High Salary + Stock Options | AI-Enabled | Rapidly Growing Business

Clark Wood are currently working with a rapidly growing international tax business that is looking to make one of its first US Tax hires in the UK.

This is a genuinely unique opportunity and very different from a traditional US Tax Senior position within an established accountancy practice.

The company is already growing rapidly internationally and is now looking to expand its UK offering. You’ll be joining at an early stage of that journey, giving you the opportunity to have a genuine impact on how the UK operation develops.

The Role

The initial focus will be predominantly on US Individual Tax, preparing US Tax Returns for US citizens and other individuals living internationally, including clients based in the UK.
You’ll work closely with senior members of the business, taking responsibility for US tax compliance while developing strong relationships with an international client base.
The longer-term opportunity is considerably broader.
The company intends to grow the UK team quickly and introduce additional service lines over time, creating significant scope for your responsibilities and career to develop alongside the business.

AI-Enabled Technology

Technology is a major part of how the company operates.
The business is using AI to reduce repetitive and administrative work, improve efficiency and make the day-to-day role of its tax professionals easier.

Rather than replacing the technical element of the position, the technology is designed to give you more time to focus on clients, technical tax work and higher-value responsibilities.

Skills & Experience
The successful individual will ideally have:
• Experience preparing US Individual Tax Returns
• Experience working with US citizens and/or internationally based US taxpayers
• A background within US Private Client / Individual Tax
• Strong technical and client-facing skills
• The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• An interest in technology and more efficient ways of working
• An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in joining a business during a significant growth phase
Relevant qualifications such as EA, CPA or equivalent US Tax qualifications would be advantageous, although practical US Individual Tax experience will be particularly important.
