Your responsibilities as a Private Client Tax Senior
You’ll support the Private Client Tax team across a varied portfolio of compliance and advisory work, liaising directly with clients to gather information and keep projects progressing smoothly. You’ll assist with advice across areas including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, income tax planning, business restructuring, estates and trusts, and Stamp Duty Land Tax, while supporting clients with their ongoing tax compliance requirements.
You’ll also identify potential advisory opportunities within the existing portfolio, respond to ad hoc queries alongside senior tax colleagues and communicate with other service lines and third parties as required. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation will be important, identifying potential issues and escalating these to senior members of the tax team where appropriate. You’ll also support the onboarding of new clients and prepare the necessary risk management documentation for new matters.
Requirements
You will be AAT and/or ATT qualified as a minimum, with practical knowledge of Private Client Tax and previous experience working directly with clients. You’ll be confident delivering an outstanding level of client service and building strong professional relationships, while bringing excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also be comfortable collaborating with colleagues across different service lines within the firm.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
