An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Tax Director to join a highly regarded and growing Private Client team. This role offers the chance to work with an exceptional client base of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and their families, delivering strategic tax advice on some of the most complex and interesting matters in the market.
This is a key leadership position within a collaborative, partner-led environment where Private Client Tax is a core area of focus. You will play an integral role in driving the growth of the practice, developing client relationships, leading technical delivery and mentoring the next generation of tax professionals.

The Opportunity
You will advise a diverse portfolio of clients, including:

* High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals
* Entrepreneurs and founder-led businesses
* Family offices and private wealth clients
* Shareholders preparing for business exits
* Internationally mobile individuals and business owners
The role combines technical excellence, client leadership and business development, providing exposure to a broad range of advisory work including succession planning, business exits, transactions, restructuring, residence and domicile matters, and complex personal tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading a significant portfolio of private clients, entrepreneurs and business owners.
* Acting as a trusted adviser and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
* Delivering complex private client tax advice across a broad range of planning opportunities and technical matters.
* Working closely with Partners on strategic advisory projects and major client engagements.
* Overseeing the delivery of compliance and advisory services while maintaining exceptional standards of client service.
* Managing the financial performance of client portfolios, including billing and work-in-progress management.
* Supporting and developing Managers and Senior Managers, helping them take greater ownership of client relationships and delivery.
* Identifying opportunities to expand services to existing clients and win new business.
* Leading business development initiatives, networking activities and market-facing events.
* Collaborating with specialists across corporate tax, transaction services, VAT and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
About You

* CTA and/or ACA qualified.
* Extensive Private Client Tax experience gained within a leading professional services environment.
* Strong technical expertise across private client advisory and compliance matters.
* Proven experience managing complex client relationships and acting as a lead adviser.
* Commercially minded with a strong understanding of the issues facing entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses.
* Demonstrable track record of business development and generating new work.
* Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
