Clark Wood is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Carlisle for a Tax Manager. This opportunity would suit either an established Tax Manager looking for a fresh challenge or an experienced Tax Senior or Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career.

You will manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, family-run companies, and private clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services across Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a portfolio of personal tax clients.
Prepare and review Personal, Partnership, and Capital Gains Tax returns.
Deliver proactive tax planning advice and identify commercial tax-saving opportunities.
Handle HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
Support clients on a range of tax advisory matters, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning.
Mentor and support junior members of the tax team.
About You
ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
Currently working as a Tax Manager, Assistant Manager, or an experienced Tax Senior looking to progress into management.
Excellent technical knowledge of UK personal taxation and tax planning.
