Senior Associate - Tax (5+ PQE)

The Role
The position is for a Senior Associate within the corporate tax team, acting on high-value and complex tax advisory and transactional matters. This practice advises on the full spectrum of corporate and commercial tax issues, working in close integration with other core practice groups, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and funds. The work includes both standalone advisory mandates and supporting major transactions.
Typical mandates include:
* Advising on tax aspects of large-scale M&A and cross-border restructuring transactions
* Structuring private equity investments, credit transactions, and fund platforms
* Advising on joint ventures, including within the real estate and infrastructure sectors
* Delivering strategic advice on complex domestic and international tax matters
* Assisting clients with contentious tax issues and compliance obligations where required
The role provides exposure to a diverse client base, including investors, developers, and corporates across multiple sectors such as energy, infrastructure, private capital, and real estate. You will work closely with partners and other senior stakeholders from the outset, taking a leading role on workstreams and developing strong, direct client relationships.
What They're Looking For
* England & Wales qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in corporate tax
* Experience advising on significant corporate and commercial tax matters at a leading law firm or recognised practice
* Strong background in tax structuring for private equity, funds, or infrastructure investment
* Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with the ability to provide strategic, commercially focused advice
* Ability to manage complex transactions confidently and coordinate across multiple jurisdictions
* Proactive, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and business development skills
* Genuine enthusiasm for tax law and interest in working on challenging, high-profile matters
