Clark Wood is working with a leading UK accountancy firm looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client team.

This role has a strong Trusts & Estates focus, managing an interesting portfolio of trusts, estates and high-net-worth individuals while taking the lead on both compliance and advisory work.
You'll work closely with Partners and Directors and have direct contact with trustees, executors, beneficiaries and professional advisers.

The Role

- Manage a portfolio predominantly comprising trusts and estates
- Oversee trust and estate accounts and tax returns
- Lead Trusts & Estates advisory assignments
- Advise on Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax
- Act as a key contact for trustees, executors and HNW clients
- Manage HMRC enquiries and settlements
- Review work prepared by junior team members
- Coach and develop junior staff
- Work closely with Partners and Directors
- Identify additional advisory opportunities across your portfolio

What We're Looking For

- Strong UK Trusts & Estates Tax experience
- CTA and/or STEP qualified, or equivalent experience
- Good Private Client Tax knowledge
- Experience with trust and IHT compliance
- Strong IHT and CGT knowledge
- Confident managing clients and advisory assignments
- Experience reviewing and developing junior staff
