Tax Advisory Manager – Fully Remote
£65,000–£75,000 per year plus bonus
Job Description
Our client is an award-winning, high-growth tax and strategic advisory firm working with entrepreneurs, privately owned businesses, high-net-worth individuals and ambitious companies across the UK and internationally.
This is a fully remote UK-based role focused on tax advisory, not compliance.
The firm has built a strong reputation for combining technically robust tax advice with a highly commercial, entrepreneurial approach.
Its leadership is well respected within the market, and the business continues to attract increasingly sophisticated clients, projects and professional partnerships.
Tax sits at the heart of a broader advisory proposition, supporting founders and business owners through growth, restructuring, investment, transactions, wealth planning and major commercial decisions.
The Bigger Picture
Alongside its established tax capability, the firm now provides Strategic Business Advisory, working directly with founders to understand what they ultimately want to achieve and helping them build the business required to get there.
That could include preparing for a future sale, increasing enterprise value, securing investment, improving profitability or developing the infrastructure needed for further growth.
Tax therefore forms part of a much wider commercial relationship with clients rather than operating as an isolated technical service.
Over time, the wider business also intends to expand into complementary areas including Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory.
The scale of the opportunity is already significant.
The senior team is currently involved in multiple live deals involving privately owned businesses with turnover ranging from approximately £10m to £60m.
The firm is also developing strategic relationships with established professional-services organisations, including a wealth management business responsible for approximately £4bn of client assets.
Alongside this, the business is currently delivering an international programme of highly exclusive advisory events attracting prominent speakers, entrepreneurs and ultra-high-net-worth attendees with combined wealth exceeding £1bn.
The Role
You will work closely with the senior leadership team, taking responsibility for complex tax advisory work while contributing to the continued development of the tax function.
Clients include founder-led businesses, scaling companies, entrepreneurs and private clients with significant wealth.
Many are growing, restructuring, expanding internationally, preparing for investment, completing transactions or considering future exits.
You will provide technically strong, commercially relevant advice across corporate and private client tax matters.
Typical responsibilities will include:
• Leading complex tax advisory engagements
• Advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Supporting clients through restructuring, growth, succession, investment, transactions and international expansion
• Advising across corporate tax, private client tax and wider strategic tax planning
• Working directly with founders around significant commercial and wealth-creation events
• Applying tax legislation to complex commercial situations
• Managing senior client relationships
• Reviewing technical work and supporting the development of the wider tax team
• Contributing to the evolution of the firm’s wider advisory proposition
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This role offers the quality of clients, complexity of work and commercial exposure often associated with much larger firms, but within a more agile and entrepreneurial environment.
You will be joining during a significant period of growth rather than stepping into a rigid, established structure.
The business is ambitious, fast-moving and prepared to invest, with increasing exposure to transactions, strategic advisory work, private wealth and sophisticated founder-led businesses.
The role is also fully remote, providing genuine flexibility without sacrificing access to complex work, senior decision-makers or high-calibre clients.
For someone who enjoys technical tax but also wants to understand the wider commercial story behind a client’s business, this is an unusually broad opportunity.
For the right person, there is also the potential for significant bonus incentives and longer-term equity participation.
Your Profile
This role is aimed at someone operating at Tax Assistant Manager or Tax Manager level, or a strong Senior Tax Advisor ready to step up.
You must already have a proven background in tax advisory.
We are not accepting applications from candidates currently based outside the UK.
Ideally, you will have:
• CTA, ACA, ACCA or CA qualification
• A strong background in corporate and/or private client tax advisory
• Experience contributing to or leading complex advisory work
• The confidence to advise entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to apply tax legislation commercially
• Strong commercial awareness
• Exposure to restructuring, transactions, succession, investment or international tax would be advantageous
This is not a compliance-focused tax role.
It would suit a Tax Assistant Manager or Tax Manager who wants to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial advisory business offering genuine influence, high-calibre work, flexibility and significant long-term upside.
