A highly successful professional services firm is seeking an experienced US Global Mobility Tax Senior Manager to join its expanding Integrated Mobility team. Experienced Managers looking to step up into a Senior Manager role will also be considered. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious US tax professional to step into a pivotal leadership position, acting as the number two to the team lead while working with multinational organisations, internationally mobile employees and high-net-worth individuals on complex US compliance and advisory matters.

With significant investment being made into the firm's US/UK Global Mobility offering across both the UK and offshore delivery teams, this practice is experiencing continued growth and is not short of work. You'll inherit an established portfolio and play an integral role in shaping the future direction of the team.

Importantly, this role offers a genuine succession planning opportunity, positioning you to step into a more senior leadership role as the current team lead progresses their career.

The Role

You'll manage a substantial portfolio of clients, providing technical expertise across US global mobility tax compliance and advisory matters. As a senior member of the team, you will review and sign out complex US tax compliance work, advise on intricate cross-border issues and support the development of both clients and junior team members.

Working alongside specialists across personal tax, employment tax, immigration and reward, you'll deliver practical, commercial solutions to a diverse international client base.

What You'll Be Doing

* Managing an established portfolio of global mobility clients and acting as a trusted advisor on US tax matters.
* Reviewing and signing out complex US individual tax returns and related compliance obligations.
* Providing technical advice on US global mobility, cross-border tax and international assignment issues.
* Supporting multinational employers and mobile employees with advisory projects and planning initiatives.
* Acting as deputy to the team lead, helping oversee workflow, team development and client delivery.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
* Collaborating with colleagues across the UK, offshore teams and international networks to deliver seamless client solutions.
* Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
* Supporting business development activities and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

What We're Looking For

* Significant experience within US expatriate tax and global mobility.
* CPA and/or EA qualified.
* Strong technical knowledge of US individual taxation and international mobility tax matters.
* Experience reviewing complex US tax compliance and advisory work.
* Proven ability to manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
* Strong people management, coaching and leadership skills.
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills.
* Ambition to take on greater leadership responsibility as part of a succession planning opportunity.

What's on Offer

* A key leadership role within a growing and well-invested Global Mobility practice.
* Clear progression pathway and succession planning opportunities.
* A high-quality, established portfolio of clients from day one.
* Exposure to complex advisory work and multinational organisations.
* A collaborative culture with significant investment in people, technology and offshore support.
* Flexible working arrangements and a competitive remuneration package.
