Clark Wood are currently recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior to join a respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in Andover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior, Personal Tax Semi Senior or experienced Tax Assistant looking to develop their career within a growing Private Client Tax team.

Working closely with the Personal Tax Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients while providing a high-quality compliance service and supporting with advisory work. The role also offers the opportunity to take on supervisory responsibility, supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members.

As a Personal Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients including individuals, directors, landlords and sole traders.
- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns and associated tax computations.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing support on personal tax matters.
- Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.
- Assisting with personal tax planning and advisory assignments where required.
- Supporting and overseeing junior members of the tax team.
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing guidance to aid their development.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- ATT / CTA qualification or be qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within a Personal Tax department in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of personal tax compliance and Self Assessment.
- Experience managing client relationships and handling queries independently.
- Confidence reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
